In the Fall 2010 semester, the Russian Martial Art students at
Millersville University will embark upon levels I and II of Weapons
training. The semester will emphasize both defensive and offensive
uses of long and short staffs, knives, and firearms. Special
emphasis is also placed on Russian Bayonet Fencing and Improvised
Weapons.
During the semester, there will be two field trips, too! One trip is
to Country Knives, one
of the largest knife stores in the Mid-Atlantic states, to purchase
tactical folders for personal use. The other trip is to
Targetmaster, an indoor
firearms range, to shoot live ammunition and see the chilling effect
of the damage that firearms can cause (must be 21 or older to
attend). |
