In February 1992, the Ministry of Justice of Russia registered the
Federation of Russian Martial Art with all-Russian
status. In 1999, the Federation of Russian Martial Art
(FRMA) passed a re-registration with the Ministry of
Justice and has its legal address in Moscow. Its certificate of
registration is ¹ 684 from 09.02.1999. The founders of the
Federation of Russian Martial Art (FRMA) are individuals
from 45 regions of Russia.

Origins: 1991, Moscow. The first training seminars were conducted
with Goskomsporta of the USSR at the Olympic sport centre in the
city of Alushta.

he primary goal of Federation of Russian Martial Art (FRMA)
is the unification of people and organizations on the study,
revival, distribution, and application in everyday life of the
various national kinds of self-defense and self-improvement.

Since 1991, the Federation of Russian Martial Art (FRMA)
has conducted about 400 all-Soviet, All-Russian, and international
training seminars on the ROSS--The
Russian Native System of Self-Defense--Training System.
Additionally, the Federation of Russian Martial Art (FRMA)
has conducted more than 160 demonstrations, performances, creative
meetings, joint trainings with representatives of various kinds of
single combat, and also about 80 performances to mass-media — TV,
radio, and the press.

The federation has representatives in more than 45 regions of
Russia, in the CIS (Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan) and abroad (the
USA, Great Britain, Holland, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Canada,
Germany, Australia, etc.).

The scientifically-methodical department of the Federation
of Russian Martial Art (FRMA) creates scientific work and
has been defended in more than 12 master's theses and 1 doctor's,
defended on December 27, 2001.

There are nearly 100,000 people engaged in ROSS
training throughout Russia.
|
|
Since 1993, the Federation has conducted more than 110 competitions
on RMA in the aspect of «Sportive Hand-to-Hand Combat — ROSS».
Members of Russian Federation of Russian Martial Art (FRMA)
act in various qualifying competitions of martial arts in Russia.

In 1998, in Orlando, FL the ROSS Training System
was recognized and certificated by the World Head of Family Sokeship
Council, which is an international Grandmasters organization. The
author of system — A. I. Retuinskih was inducted into the council of
Grandmasters and was named Grandmaster of Russian Martial Art -
ROSS. As a result of this recognition, World Head of Family Sokeship
council included the Federation of Russian Martial Art (ROSS) into
the world register as a new, independent, sports-fighting direction.

Russian Fighting Art – ROSS has published five, popular, scientific,
sports-methodical magazines.

|
The following films have been published: «Remember, Brothers, the
Glory of Russia…» and «Great Masters of the World». Out of 23 films,
13 of them have the status of a national film and are registered at
the State Cinema.

The Federation has certified more than 800 instructors in Russia and
abroad in 8 directions of ROSS.

The Federation of Russian Martial Art (ROSS)
continues to develop in special divisions of government of
the Russian Federation and the CIS.
